News for the week of March 27th
-State mandated tests (called PEAKS) will be next week.  Tuesday and Wednesday the tests are scheduled for the morning and the afternoon sessions . On Thursday only three grades will be tested for Science. These tests are to assess where our students are compared to other students in the state. We expect the students to perform the best they can on each test. Their grades will not be affected.
Only 3-10th graders are tested but all other grades are not excused and should attend school.

Hot Breakfast on Tuesday-Thursday during testing week. There will be hot breakfast on the three days of testing. Make sure the kids show up around 8:30. We don't want them to be late for class. I hear there will be eggs and bacon and pancakes on at least a couple of those days. Bernadette is looking forward to making a good meal for our our kids so they can think clearly for their tests.

Spring Carnival will start next week - School will be out at 2 pm on Wednesday and Thursday so we can all enjoy the races.

March 31st - Friday - Inservice Day for teachers. No school for students. Enjoy Spring Carnival!

April 3rd - Monday of the following week - Inservice Day for teachers. No school for students. Rest up from all the festivities of Spring Carnival!

Pep Rally on April 4th - Tuesday starting at 6:15 with a Covered Dish at the gym - Please come and join us at the gym starting 6:15pm for a covered dish. Bring your favorite dish. The school will have goulash, fresh french bread, jello, and cake. We'll be celebrating a season where our two girls Violet and Gladys played with the Minto team, our boys team with Michael, Albert, Juwan, Hunter, Lance, and Allen won regionals, and our two seniors Gladys and Allen will be recognized for their high school basketball careers. Mark your calendars for this special celebration!

    Never Give Up!
Arnold Marks, our high school teacher, and his brother Archie Agnes raced in the Iron Dog this year. They had some major set backs but never gave up. Hear what these guys had to say and what makes us so proud!
